The No. 11 Fresno State water polo team is set to host No. 20 Azusa Pacific in its GCC home opener on Saturday afternoon.
Due to current state guidelines, fans are not able to attend home meets at the Fresno State Aquatics Center during the 2020-21 season. Fans will be able to keep up with the action by watching the MW Network or following live stats.

THE SCORING TRIOÂ
The Bulldogs have a dynamic offense this season lead by Callie Woodruff, Daphne Guevremont and Emily Nicholson. The trio has combined for 47 goals this season.Â
Woodruff and Guevremont rank No. 2 in the conference in goals (16) and Nicholson ranks No. 4 (15). In points, Guevremont ranks No. 2 with 26 and Woodruff ranks No. 3 with 24. Â
Nicholson has also been essential for the Bulldogs in the center position, chalking 34 drawn exclusions this season.Â
SCHADE DOES IT ALL
Senior Claire Schade leads the team in steals (15), assists (13) and sprint wins (7).Â
Nationally speaking, Schade ranks No. 3 in assists per game, No. 5 in assists and No. 9 in steals.

- Azusa Pacific is ranked No. 20.
- Azusa Pacific is 1-0 this season, coming off a 12-8 win over No. 17 LMU in its GCC opener.
- Azusa Pacific had five different players score against LMU.
- Sophomore Milena Guzman Ortiz led the Cougars in contest with four goals, two assists and two steals. Guzman Ortiz was named the GCC Player of the Week.
- Junior Olivia Lott chalked the start in the cage, recording 10 saves.
- Azusa Pacific finished the 2020 season with a 4-9 record.
