Bulldogs in fourth after opening 36

UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. – The Fresno State men's golf team is in fourth place after the first two rounds of the 2021 SeattleU Redhawk Invitational, which featured 36 holes of play on the challenging Chambers Bay Golf Course in the Pacific Northwest on Monday.

Chambers Bay, which also was the site of the 2015 United States Open, presented scoring opportunities, which the Bulldogs took advantage of throughout the day.

Fresno State's Tommy Stephenson and Matthew Manganello are both tied for eighth individually at 1-under-par in the field of 88 golfers, while Kevin Huff (T-29), Michael Cliff (T-29) and Matthew Sutherland (T-35) are also in the Top 35 entering Tuesday's final round.

San Francisco's Matthew Anderson was the Day 1 leader at 7-under-par, just six strokes ahead of Stephenson and Manganello.
