Bulldog horizontal jumpers continue winning ways

FRESNO, Calif. – In its last tune-up before hosting three meets in a row, the Fresno State track and field teams traveled across town to Fresno Pacific on Saturday where the group won five individual events at the Wildflower Invitational.
For the second straight weekend, the Bulldogs claimed both the women's long jump and triple jump. The 'Dogs finished in the top three spots in the long jump with Kaja Bins and Queen Okoh both recording a mark of 5.49m/18-0.25. For Bins, the sophomore's mark was new personal best. Jodeci Weems was right behind her teammates at 5.42m/17-9.5. Tijana Antic won her first event of the year in the triple, landing a season-best jump of 12.32m/40-5.
Amelia DiPaoloa claimed her third individual win of the spring, and second in the shot put, as the sophomore registered a mark of 12.95m/42-6.
On the track, Nathan Burd won the 400 meters, clocking a time of 49.98. In the women's 1500 meters, Hailey Fernandez recorded a winning time of 4:57.43.
