Fresno State’s Dalia Ahmed improved to 13-2 in singles play this season, which now includes a 9-1 mark at No. 1 singles, but the Bulldogs came up short in a hard-fought 4-2 loss at Wyoming on Sunday.

LARAMIE, Wyo. – The Fresno State women's tennis team lost 4-2 to the Wyoming Cowgirls in a hard-fought road battle on Sunday afternoon at the Wyoming Tennis Complex.

The loss is just the second in conference play for Fresno State (11-5, 4-2 Mountain West) this season.

After dropping the doubles point, Fresno State's Dalia Ahmed and Carolina Piferi won singles matches at No. 1 and No. 4 singles, respectively, but the Bulldogs came up short in a competitive road contest.

Next up: Fresno State will host Utah State on Saturday and then Boise State on Sunday at the Spalding G. Wathen Tennis Center.

Dalia Ahmed improved to 13-2 in singles play this season, including a 9-1 mark at the No. 1 singles position (5-0 in Mountain West contests).
Carolina Piferi improved to 8-5 in singles play this season.
In singles, Fresno State is 56-29 overall (18-10 in Mountain West play), which includes an 11-4 record at No. 1 singles.
In doubles, Fresno State is 25-16 overall, which includes a 10-3 record at No. 1 doubles.
