Lynch earns second career MW Golfer of the Week nod

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Once again, the Fresno State Classic has produced a Mountain West Women's Golfer of the Week accolade for junior Harriet Lynch. In 2019, Lynch picked up her first career MW golfer of the week honor as a freshman following her first Fresno State Classic.
Lynch's second career MW honor comes after a third-place finish and a career-best 7-under-par 209 tournament score. She skyrocketed into the lead on the opening day of the Classic, setting the program record for low 36-hole score, firing a 4-under 68 and a 6-under 66, to finish Monday 10-under-par. Lynch's second-round masterpiece included six birdies and 12 pars, en route to her single-round career-best 66.
The MW of the week accolade is the second for the Bulldogs this spring, as senior Brigitte Thibault earned the honor on Feb. 18 after winning the Rebel Beach Invitational. Fresno State has competed in five tournaments this spring and produced two golfers of the week.
In five days the 'Dogs will be back in action for the Mountain West Championships, April 20-21. Further information about the event can be found on the conference's championship central page.
