A look at the USC Trojans
USC brings a 22-22 overall record into Tuesday's game with a 10-14 mark in the Pac-12 sitting eighth in the conference.
The Trojans are coming off winning two of three games at home against Washington State over the weekend and are 6-9 on the road this season.
USC is hitting .255 from the dish to rank ninth in the Pac-12 and are averaging 4.7 runs per game.
The Trojans have combined for 106 extra-base hits with 60 doubles, 11 triples and 35 home runs and have a .385 slugging percentage to sit eighth in the Pac-12.
Redshirt junior infielder Ben Ramirez has started all 44 games for the Trojans leading the team with a .311 average and he also tops the team in hits (50), triples (3), RBIs (40), total bases (79), slugging percentage (.491) and on-base percentage (.386).
On the mound, USC sports a 4.47 ERA, sixth in the Pac-12, while opponents are hitting .271 from the plate and have drawn 150 walks while being struck out 312 times.
Redshirt sophomore right-hander Garrett Clarke will make his first start of the season and has made 12 relief appearances with a 3-2 mark and a 3.38 ERA. He has struck out 19 while issuing only seven walks in 32.0 innings.
Freshman Nate Clow has five saves while redshirt senior Quentin Longrie has a team-leading 17 appearances.

Over that stretch, he is hitting .333 from the dish with 25 hits in 75 at-bats and has four doubles, two home runs, 10 RBIs and 17 runs scored.
Higgins standing out
Junior Ryan Higgins is coming off a trio of two-hit performances over the weekend against Nevada hitting .500 from the plate in the series going 6-for-12 with a double, two home runs, three RBIs and three runs scored.
He leads the team in batting average (.328), runs (36), doubles (10), triples (3), RBIs (32), slugging percentage (.599) and on-base percentage (.440).
Double trouble
Fresno State ranks first in the nation in double plays per game (1.18) and are 5th in the country with 45 double plays.
Walk it out
The Bulldogs lead the Mountain West with 164 walks drawn averaging 4.3 per game.
