LARAMIE, Wyo. - The Fresno State volleyball team fell in straight sets at Wyoming on Thursday evening at the Uniwyo Sports Complex.
Fresno State (6-17, 0-11 MW) dropped sets, 13-25, 18-25, 18-25 to Wyoming (10-13, 6-5 MW).
How It Happened
A kill from Olivia Keller gave the 'Dogs an early 2-1 lead in the opening set, but it was all Cowgirls from there who led the rest of the set taking as large as a 12-point lead, winning the set by that margin.
The second set saw the 'Dogs get within three at 15-12 after a kill by Lauren Sabbatini and an attack error by the Cowgirls forced a timeout. It was all Wyoming out of the break going on a 4-0 run and the Bulldogs could not get any closer in the set.
Block assists from Grace Doyle and Addison Haluska got the 'Dogs within two at 10-8, but a 7-0 run by the Cowgirls put Wyoming up nine. A 3-0 run by the 'Dogs briefly brought Fresno State back within six at 19-13, the teams traded 5-0 runs before a kill by Wyoming ended the match with a kill.
