FRESNO, Calif. – A robust 17-game local television Fresno State Basketball package will give fans throughout the Central Valley more ways to stay connected with the Bulldogs this season.
The announcement is part of a 50-game package for the Bulldog Sports Network in 2022-23, which featured eight fall events and will also include these 17 winter contests, along with 25 this spring (baseball, softball and water polo).
"This local television package allows us to ensure enhanced coverage of our talented student-athletes, and engage a new generation of the Red Wave on the hardwood," said Zachary Fraser, general manager of Bulldog Sports Properties/LEARFIELD, the exclusive multimedia rights partner of the athletics department. "Be it television, radio, digital, in-venue, out-of-venue – partners of Fresno State Athletics will be able to reach the most loyal fan base in all of California."
In addition to these contests being available on CW59 via cable, satellite, YouTubeTV, and OTA platforms, and FOX26.2 (channel 390 for Xfinity subscribers, or via Dabl on YouTubeTV), these broadcasts will continue to be available over the Mountain West Network and through the MW and Go Bulldogs official apps.
The on-air broadcast team will include the Central Valley's longest-serving broadcaster Ralph Wood calling the play-by-play with Jack Fertig and Amy Parrish-Finch as analysts. Fertig is a former Fresno State director of basketball operations and Parrish-Finch is a Valley product, who led the Bulldogs to multiple conference championships as an assistant coach. Drey Avalos – a former member of the Los Angeles Clippers' broadcast team – will be the sideline reporter.
"We at FOX26/CW59 are proud to showcase Fresno State Men's and Women's Basketball," said Matt Morse, Vice President and General Manager of FOX26/CW59. "Bulldog Basketball has roots deep in our community and we're excited to be able to broadcast games to the Valley."
The Bulldog Sports Network includes pole-to-pole coverage of Bulldog Athletics on radio through iHeartMedia, primetime television coverage every Sunday through ABC30, and live broadcasts on television through CW59 and FOX26.2.
