A look at the New Mexico Lobos
The Lobos are off to a 4-8 start to the season with a 3-1 mark at home and opened Mountain West play last week at San Jose State winning one of three games.

New Mexico is coming off a 16-25 campaign in 2021 and a 10-17 mark in MW play finishing sixth in the conference.

With first-year head coach Tod Brown now leading the charge after the retirement of Ray Birmingham, UNM is hitting .233 as a team while averaging 4.4 runs per game.

Kansas State infield transfer Kamron Willman leads the team hitting .304 and the Lobos lead the nation in double plays with 17.

On the pitching side, the Lobos have a team ERA of 6.00 and opponents are hitting .309 with 37 extra-base knocks. Friday starter Riley Egloff is 2-0 with a 1.69 ERA in 16.0 innings and has 17 strikeouts while holding opponents to a .203 average.

The Bulldogs have won seven straight in Albuquerque after also beating the Lobos in the 2017 Mountain West Tournament hosted by UNM.

Henderson tabbed MW Pitcher of the Week
For the second time in three weeks, Ixan Henderson has been tabbed the Mountain West Pitcher of the Week after tossing a career-high six innings on March 5 in the 'Dogs 1-0 win over Portland striking out nine and limiting the Pilots to three singles and three walks on the evening.
