FRESNO, Calif. - Back under the direction of head coach Jeff Tedford, the Fresno State football team has its first of 15 spring football practices at Bulldog Stadium on Monday, Mar. 21.

The Bulldogs' spring season will conclude with the Spring Preview, a part of the larger Bulldog Block Party, on April 30. More information on the Bulldog Block Party can be found here.

All practices outside of the Spring Preview are closed to the general public.

Coaching Staff
Tedford announced his coaching staff shortly after his hiring, while only three coaches from the 2021 staff were retained, several are no strangers to Bulldog Football.

The full-time staff are listed below:
John Baxter - Special Teams Coordinator and Tight Ends
Kevin Coyle - Defensive Coordinator
Jethro Franklin - Defensive Line
Pat McCann - Wide Receivers
James Montgomery - Running Backs
Kirby Moore - Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks
Jim Nelson - Nickelbacks
Tim Skipper - Linebackers
Saga Tuitele - Offensive Line
J.D. Williams - Defensive Backs

Moore was promoted to offensive coordinator from wide receivers coach, a spot he first accepted with Tedford in 2017. Williams was retained by Tedford, but switched duties to the entire defensive back group as opposed to only the corner backs in 2021. Nelson was on staff in 2021 as a defensive quality control. Tedford announced him as nickelbacks coach in January, securing his first full-time assistant coaching spot.

Fresno State returns 14 starters, while it lost 10.

The 'Dogs return 40 total letterwinners, while losing 20.

Fresno State returns six of its All-Mountain West selections from 2021 - Jake Haener (QB), Jalen Cropper (WR), Josh Kelly (WR), Evan Williams (DB), Levelle Bailey (LB) and David Perales (DE).

The Bulldogs announced the 2022 schedule on Feb. 16, releasing dates for their six home matchups next season. The 2022 schedule is highlighted by six home dates, kicking off the season with Cal Poly (Sept. 3) and Oregon State (Sept. 10). Fresno State opens its home Mountain West slate with hosting San Jose State (Oct. 15). San Diego State (Oct. 29), Hawai'i (Nov. 5) and Wyoming (Nov. 26) round out the home schedule.
