NCEA announces championship seeds

FRESNO, Calif. - The National Collegiate Equestrian Association announced its seedings for the 2022 National Collegiate Equestrian Championship, set for April 14-16 at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, Fla. The top eight teams in the country earned a spot on the national championship bracket, and the Fresno State equestrian team snuck in as the No. 8 seed.

The Bulldogs will face the No. 1 seeded Oklahoma State in the first matchup. Oklahoma State was crowned the Big 12 champion last weekend.

Auburn, the 2022 SEC champion, is the No. 2 seed. Texas A&M (SEC), TCU (Big 12) and Georgia (SEC) round out the top five.

Baylor (Big 12), SMU (ECAC) and Fresno State (Big 12) close out the seeding for this year's national championship.

The Big 12 has all four of its teams competing in this year's national championship, the only conference to have each of its members competing.
