Fresno State is two strokes back of No. 9 Kansas after the first 18 holes of the 2022 Bandon Dunes Championship.
BANDON, Ore. – The Fresno State men's golf team shot a 1-over-par 285 on Sunday to open in second place after the first round of the 2022 Bandon Dunes Invitational at Sheep Ranch in Bandon, Oregon.
Fresno State will enter the second round just two strokes back of tournament leader No. 9 Kansas in the 15 team field, which includes three teams in the Top 50 nationally.
Kevin Huff shot a 69 (-2) on Sunday to tie for fifth place in the individual competition – just one stroke back of four co-leaders, including Kansas' No. 22 Luke Kluver.
Matthew Manganello was also in red figures and the Top 10 with a 1-under-par 70 for the Bulldogs, who have a total of four Bulldogs within six strokes of the first round lead.
Play continues on Monday with second round action starting at 8:30 a.m. PT, followed by the final round on Tuesday.
