Fresno State is in second place, with four in the Top 10
RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. - The Fresno State women's golf team is in second place through 18 holes of the 2022 Mountain West Championship, hosted on the Dinah Shore Tournament Course at Mission Hills Country Club. The Bulldogs shot a 3-over-par 291 in Monday's opening round. Fresno State trails only No. 5 San Jose State, who opened the tournament with a 9-under-par 279.
Fresno State's 291 is its lowest score in any round of the Mountain West Championship, and its third-lowest in a round in a conference championship event in program history. The Bulldogs' low was a 288 in the second round of the 2009 WAC championship. Their second-lowest score was a 290 in the third round of the 2011 WAC championship.

Senior Jessica Hall continued her on-course success, shooting a 1-under-par 71 on Monday to finish the round in third place. Hall was one of three golfers in the field to shoot under par on Monday - joining San Jose State's Natasha Andrea Oon (65) and Lucia Lopez-Ortega (68).

Nicola Kaminski was one stroke behind Hall, shooting an even par 72 to finish T4th in the first round.

Jinyoung Yun and Harriet Lynch were 2-over-par (74) in the opening round. The duo is tied for 10th in the field. Yu Shang shot 9-over (81) and is T40th.
