FRESNO, Calif. -Â The Fresno State Baseball program will host a pair of baseball camps at Pete Beiden Field at Bob Bennett Stadium in August.
Baseball players ages six all the way up to junior college aged students have the opportunity to learn from select Fresno State coaches and players in part of both summer camps.
The Junior Bulldog Camp will be held Aug. 1-3 for ages 6-12. Campers will experience hands-on instruction from Bulldog coaches and players, and learn drills and techniques in all areas of the game in a fun, competitive atmosphere. Instruction will be provided by the Bulldog coaching staff and players and each day will end with a game.
The Junior Bulldog Camp is scheduled to run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day. Camp cost is $200 and each camper must bring his own baseball equipment (glove, bat, helmet, cleats and hat) and catchers must bring their own gear.
The second summer camp will be the Prospect Camp which will be held Aug. 13-14. Saturday will run from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., then resume on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Prospect Camp, designed specifically for high school players grade nine through junior college, will allow campers to showcase their skill sets in game situations for the Bulldog coaching staff. The first day will focus on offensive and defensive evaluations and a college recruiting talk by the Bulldog staff, while day two will include more comprehensive game situations for players to showcase their abilities.
Registration for the Prospect Camp is $200 and each camper must bring his own baseball equipment (glove, bat, helmet, cleats and hat) and catchers must bring their own gear.
