Bulldogs drop match at Long Beach State

FRESNO, Calif. – A penalty kick in the opening 20 minutes put the Fresno State soccer team on the back foot before allowing two more goals prior to the end of the first half, ultimately falling 4-0 at Long Beach State on Thursday night.
How It Happened
Even through the opening 15 minutes, the tide began to turn as a foul in the box led to a kick from the spot for Long Beach State's Lena Silano. Fresno State had its chance to equalize but The Beach scored twice in the final eight minutes of the half.
The Bulldogs were doubled up in shots during the final 45 minutes and allowed fourth goal late to round out the scoring for the home side.
