HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS... AND WHERE POINTS COME
To say Fresno State has been dominant at home against Mountain West opponents in recent seasons is an understatement. In their last 19 home conference matches, which dates back to a 2-1 win over San Diego State on Sept. 30, 2018, their first win over the Aztecs since 2000, the Bulldogs are 14-3-4.
SHADES OF 2018
With the Bulldogs at 0-7-3 overall and 0-1-1 in conference, Fresno State's season is reminiscent of the 2018 season. That year, the 'Dogs were 1-6-1 through nonconference play and then began Mountain West play against Air Force and Colorado College going 0-1-1.
SCORING FAST
When Fresno State scored in the second minute against Air Force, it was the Bulldogs' earliest goal of the season. The 'Dogs went into Sunday not having scored just one other time in the opening 20 minutes of a game. That came in the seventh minute versus Pacific.
