Bulldogs head up north for the ITA Northwest Regional Championships

FRESNO, Calif.- The Fresno State tennis program is heading up north this weekend for the ITA Northwest Regional Championship.Â
Fresno State has eight players set to compete this weekend (Thursday - Tuesday) at the ITA Northwest Regional Championship at the Taube Family Tennis Center at Stanford University. Yinglak (Pang) Jittakoat, Matilde Magrini, Charlotte Gisclon, Gianna Mastro, Carolina Piferi, Misaki Kobayashi, Mariia Vyshkina and Hannah Pieper will compete for the Bulldogs in singles and doubles competition.
The Northwest Regional Championship includes 139 players in the main draw open doubles, 132 players in the main draw open singles and 19 players in the qualifying open singles - all vying to qualify for the next round of singles and doubles this weekend.
In the women's open singles, Gianna Mastro is competing in the Round of 16 qualifying draw at 2:30 p.m.Â
In the main draw the Bulldogs will have four doubles teams competing and the entire Bulldogs' lineup will compete in the main draw open singles.Â
