'Dogs complete Day 2 of ITA Northwest Regional Championship

STANFORD - Fresno State completes the second day of ITA Northwest Regional Championships with three doubles pairs into the doubles main draw round of 16.
With all three doubles pairs securing their spots into the round of 16 for main draw open doubles, the 'Dogs have continued to put themselves in a winning position. Two of the doubles pairs will see a new challenge in the round of 16 against two, top-ten seeded doubles pairs. Carolina Piferi and Misaki Kobayashi will face the six seed pair from the University of Oregon. Charlotte Gisclon and Hannah Pieper will face the eight seed pair from the University of Washington in the next round of competition.
The Bulldogs will see their time on the singles court end for the main draw. Four 'Dogs competed in the consolation draw open singles; Hannah Pieper,Mariya Vyshkina, Gianna Mastro and Miskai Kobayashi. Three-of-four will compete in the consolation draw open singles round of 32 on Sunday afternoon.
Kobayashi will face Eastern Washington's Isabella Foshee again in the singles round of 32 consolations, after they (Kobayashi/Piferi) prevailed in the doubles match against Eastern Washington early Saturday morning.
Matilde Magrini's singles run ended in the round of 32 against Cal's Mao Mushika, the eight seed in the competition.
