Cal Fall Invitational wraps up for the 'Dogs

BERKELEY, Calif. - Fresno State had four players wrap up competition at the Cal Fall Invitational at the Hellman Tennis Complex and Channing Tennis Courts in Berkeley last weekend in Carolina Piferi, Gianna Mastro, Hannah Pieper and Charlotte Gisclon.

The Cal Fall Invitational had players from 16 teams – Cal, BYU, Cal Poly, Fresno State, Gonzaga, Long Beach State, Nevada, Pacific, Sacramento State, Saint Mary's, San Francisco, San Jose State, UC Santa Barbara, Santa Clara, Stanford and Utah – vying for singles and doubles titles.

"Overall, I thought the Cal Fall Invitational went well for the Bulldogs," said assistant tennis coach Julia Deming. "This was the first tournament of the fall for Carolina, Charlotte, Gianna, and Hannah and they all competed hard throughout the entire weekend. Carolina and Charlotte both earned winning singles records and Hannah and Gianna were able to end doubles competition on a high note by earning a win against Santa Clara."
