Bulldogs close out final weekend before conference meet

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Fresno State wrapped up its final meet on Saturday before heading to the Mountain West Championships in less than two weeks. The Bulldogs picked up a pair of Top 10 finishes on the final day of the Don Kirby Invitational.
Cierra Jackson was the Bulldogs' top finisher in the shot put, landing a mark of 15.52m/50-11 to place 10th, narrowly missing out on the finals in a strong field. Jordyn Bryant finished 13th overall at 14.82m/48-07.5 while Amelia DiPaola at 20th with toss of 14.00m/45-11.25 rounded out the 'Dogs in the Top 20.
On the track, Ceonna Pipion lowered her indoor best in the 400 meters to 55.43. The junior also helped the Bulldogs finish ninth in the 4x400 relay, clocking a time of 3:50.17.
