Bulldog offense comes alive in 14-6 win over Nevada

After defeating Nevada, the Diamond 'Dogs climb to 23-23 on the season and 12-14 in Mountain West play while the Wolf Pack are knocked to 18-26 (8-14 MW).
NOTES:
- Every Bulldog in the starting lineup reached a bag at least twice.
- Bobby Blandford and Grady Morgan both hit bombs over the left field wall.
- Tommy Hopfe went four for six at the plate with two doubles and a triple.
- Jack Anker pitched a career-high six strikeouts over four innings pitched while only allowing one walk and one run.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
After a leadoff double from Marco Pirruccello in the second, Bobby Blandford crushed a two-run rocket over the left field wall to give the 'Dogs an early lead.
In the third, back-to-back doubles from Murf Gray and Tommy Hopfe tacked on another run for Fresno State to make it a 3-0 game.
The Wolf Pack tied it up in the bottom of the third with an RBI double and a two-run homer.
Grady Morgan launched his fifth home run over the season to send Travis Welker across the plate in the fourth. Nikoh Mitchell walked and eventually scored on a throwing error.
Blandford led off the top of the fifth with his third triple of the season and an RBI single from Welker sent him home.
The 'Dogs had a four-run sixth inning with runs scored from singles by Tyler Davis and Grady Morgan.
Ben Newton brought in another pair of runs for Fresno State with a single through the left side in the seventh. The Diamond 'Dogs earned their last run in the eighth with Tommy Hopfe's sixth hit of the game to seal the 14-6 victory over the Pack.
