FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State women's tennis is set for another double tournament weekend. Select athletes will head down south for the Dennis Rizza Intercollegiate Classic at Jack Kramer Club beginning on Friday, Nov. 1. Remaining athletes will head to Claremont for the Pomona Pitzer Invite at Pauly Tennis Complex with first serve on Saturday, Nov. 2.Â
BULLDOG BONES
- Bulldogs enter their final stretch of fall tournaments with the Jack Kramer Invite and the Pomona Pitzer Invite
- Bulldogs final tournament of the fall is set for the following weekend for the Cal Poly InvitationalÂ
- All eight Bulldogs will see action this weekendÂ
- Six Bulldogs are coming off at least one singles win from the fall season
- Sofia Pizzoni (3-2) and Matilde Magrini (2-3) each lock in more than one singles win this fallÂ
- Fresno State will see UC Santa Barbara, Saint Mary's, Loyola Marymount, CSU Fullerton, USC, UCLA.Â
- 'Dogs have seen consistency in playing to two rounds in tournaments this fall, seeing at least a round of 32 appearance in main draw singles playÂ
THE LINEUPÂ
Four 'Dogs are set for the Jack Kramer Invite: Matilde Magrini, Sofia Pizzoni, Andjela Lopicic and Klara Vukicevic with the remaining four set to participate in the Pomona Pitzer; Gianna Mastro, Yinglak Jittakoat, Charlotte Gisclon and Eliza Dunbar.Â
Klara Vukicevic and Andjela Lopicic look to secure their first singles results of the fall this weekend.Â
SCHEDULE
Bulldogs will play at the Jack Kramer Club in Rolling Hills Estates, the tournament is set for two out of three tie break singles sets and a doubles six game set.Â
Both tournaments will see the first serve go up at 9 a.m. PT.Â
