Alumni Spotlight: Moriah Faulk

We continue our alumni spotlight with Moriah Faulk. The 5-foot-10 guard from Santa Monica played three seasons for the Bulldogs from 2013-15 under head coaches Adrian Wiggins, Raegan Pebley and Jaime White. In her redshirt sophomore season, Faulk was named Mountain West Player of the Week after scoring a career-high 27 points on 8-of-17 shooting from the field and 5-of-9 from the three in a win over Portland. The three-year Letterman saw an MW Tournament Championship and NCAA first round appearance against Nebraska in the same year (2014) and two WNIT appearances (2015 & 2016).
Faulk finished her career at Fresno State totaling 630 points, 378 rebounds, 137 assists, 93 steals, 26 blocks with 1685 minutes on the court in 91 games. Faulk also grabbed seven starts in her time at Fresno. Faulk set a MW Tournament individual record for the Bulldogs in the 2016 championship game with three steals.Â
Q:What is your current profession, and where do you work?Â
Faulk: I am the co founder of a queer brand called Honeys LA and I also started my own event consulting firm and help brands with event activations. Â
Q:What do you enjoy most about your current profession?Â
Faulk: I get to create community for people everyday and give experiences that fill people up.
Q:How did your time at Fresno State prepare you for your career and life after college?Â
Faulk: Fresno State prepared me for my career by giving me tough skin to overcome all obstacles.Â
Q: What is your favorite memory as a student-athlete?Â
Faulk: Favorite memory as a student athlete was just getting to spend time with teammates on road trips. still close to a lot of my teammates to this day
Q: What do you miss most about your time at Fresno State and being a student-athlete?Â
Faulk: I miss having access to a gym at all times!
Q:Looking back at your career, what is one word you'd use to describe it?Â
Faulk: ImportantÂ
Q: What is the biggest piece of advice you would give to current student-athletes?Â
Faulk: Keep your head down and focus, always compete.Â
Q: If you can give a message to the Fresno State family, what would it be?Â
Faulk: Thanks for the experience I met a lot of really lovely people along the way.
