Sta. Maria and Jacobs earn MW Post season Honors

LAS VEGAS – The Mountain West announced its 2023-24 Women's Basketball All-Conference teams and individual awards as voted on by the leagues 11 head coaches. The 10-person All-Mountain West team is comprised of student-athletes from Air Force (1), Boise State (1), Colorado State (1), New Mexico (2), San Diego State (2), UNLV (2) and Wyoming (1).
For the Bulldogs Taija Sta. Maria and Mia Jacobs see their names to All-Conference teams and honorable mentions.
Sta. Maria was tabbed to the All-Freshman team, joining nine others. This season Sta. Maria earned three Freshman of the Week honors, the most of any freshman in program history. Sta. Maria closed out regular season play with 246 points, 81 rebounds, 122 assists and 2.0 assist/turnover ratio.
Mia Jacobs was tabbed to the All-MW Honorable Mention. This season Jacobs earned a Player of the Week honor, after a standout career game against Arizona State. Jacobs closed out regular season play with 449 points, 233 rebounds, 60 3PFGM and shoots 77% from the foul line. Jacobs is just shy of 500 points as a Bulldog and sits ar 729 career-points.
