Javelin throwers open Mt. SAC Relays

WALNUT, Calif. – Rhiannon Genilla and Harriette Mortlock opened the Mt. SAC Relays for Fresno State on Thursday evening. Genilla finished eighth while Mortlock was 12th.
On her second attempt, Genilla landed her best throw of the season at 49.68m/163-0. It was the senior's longest throw since last season's Mt. SAC Relays. Genilla was sixth among collegians in the event.
Mortlock's top throw of the competition registered 45.86m/150-5.
Fresno State will continue the meet tomorrow at 11 a.m. PT with the women's 4x100 relay and long jump.
