Year 2 for Mahoney
The 2024-25 season saw a special showing from then-true freshman Paris Mahoney. She finished the year with a 10-4-0 record in the flat and an 8-6-0 record in the fences. Mahoney was an honorable mention All-America selection in the flat, and picked up All-Big 12 honors in both jumping seat events. She earned three MOP honors in each event on the year and opened her career with seven-straight wins through both events.
Her 10 flat wins last season tied the program record for most in a year in the event.Â

Senior reiner Shelby Robinette returns for her fifth year in the 2025-26 season ahead. Robinette has been a steady presence in the reining lineup, compiling a 14-21-4 record over the last three seasons of competition. She was an All-Big 12 reining selection in the 2023-24 season when she saw a career-best 7-6-0 season.
Â
Stability in the lineup
As a team, Fresno State graduated seven seniors a season ago, but lost just four consistent riders in Kendra Lee and Ella Storch in horsemanship, Yasmin Roman in flat and Olivia Ferro in fences. The Bulldogs return their entire lineup from last season in the reining, a group which combined for 31 wins.
Â
A trio of riders had seven wins to pace the team in Alana Becker, Alison Heupel and Brogan Hill.
Â
Jumping seat on the come up
The Bulldog jumping seat teams have steadily improved over the last couple of years behind team efforts in both events. The Bulldog crew is now coached by Sara Tuck, who became the third straight former Bulldog to coach the jumping seat crew. Mahoney highlights the returners in both events, having been the leading scorer in the two events last season. In the fences, her classmate Paloma Primavera returns following her 7-6-1 debut season, with two MOP honors. In the flat, Molly Stewart enters her senior season after finishing last year with a 8-6-0 record.
Â
Keepin' it in the family
The current Bulldog roster has a handful of familiar names on it. Isabella Bertozzi enters her third season with the Bulldogs as the younger sister of former Bulldog standout Ana Bertozzi. Freshmen Lucia Nunes, Lilly Gilson and Addison Mathias are all following in the footsteps of their older sisters. Lucia, the younger sister of current Bulldog Mia Nunes, gets to share the experience with her sister for one year. Gilson is the younger sister of former Bulldog reiner Shea Gilson (2016-20) while Mathias is the younger sister of Grace Mathias who completed her final year of eligibility last season.
