FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State women's basketball team heads to The Crescent City for the Big Easy Classic to face New Mexico State and Louisiana at the Alario Center. Tip-off is set for 12:30 p.m. PT for both games with coverage streaming live on Youtube.Â
BULLDOG BONES
Ashlyn Rean hit her first double-double as a Bulldog with 24 points and 10 rebounds at Santa Clara on Sunday.
The forward hit a scoring groove to open the game on a solo 8-0 run. By the end of the first period, Rean hit double-figures with ten points.
Out of the starting mix, Rean owned 24 of the benches 50 points. As the 'Dogs leading scorer against the Broncos, Rean was responsible for just under 40% of the team's points.
The Kiwi completed the game shooting 83% from the field (10-of-12) and 80% from the foul line (4-of-5). Rean collected her fifth double-double of her collegiate career and first at Fresno State.
Rean ranks 3rd in the Mountain West in both FG% (54%) and FGM (34).
FIRST TIMERS
Two Bulldogs grabbed their first starts in a Bulldog uniform at Santa Clara, Aloni Oliver and Indiya Clarke. Clarke's starting debut featured eight points, going a perfect 6-of-6 from the charity line, along with four rebounds and an assist in 21 minutes.
HELPING HANDS
Fresno State saw their third game with 15+ assists this season.
