FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno State Baseball team is traveling to UC Santa Barbara for a rematch against the Gauchos, following their matchup in the 2024 Santa Barbara Regional this past May.

Following the weekend series with the Gauchos, the Bulldogs will host Cal Poly on Tuesday night at Pete Beiden Field at Bob Bennett Stadium.

CALLING ALL THEÂ MUNSTERS
- Fresno State baseball's Cayden Munster has been named Mountain West Freshman of the Week after a standout performance against Cal State Fullerton, the conference announced on Monday.
- This marks Munster's first MW honor and the team's second consecutive week with an honor earned.
- Munster served as the starting first baseman for the Bulldogs against Cal State Fullerton this week, going 4-for-11 at the plate with two RBIs.
- He averaged .364 at the plate with a .500 on-base percentage and a .364 slugging percentage.
- In the field, he recorded 22 putouts with 0 errors.
- The last time the Bulldogs were at Caesar Uyesaka Stadium, their season concluded at the Santa Barbara Regional in 2024.
- Riding the high of their Mountain West Championship title just a week earlier, the Bulldogs entered the regional as a number four seed holding a 33-27 overall record.
- Fresno State battled the Gauchos in its first game of the regional, and ultimately fell 9-6.
