CARY, N.C. – For the first time in his career, Jack Anker was named Golden Spikes Player of the Week, USA Baseball announced on Monday.
Anker started in Friday's win over San Diego State and pitched a career-high 8.0 innings.
He struck out 16 batters, the second most strikeouts by a single pitcher in a single game in 2025.
He did not allow a single run and only walked one batter.
In 8.0 innings, he threw only 102 pitches and allowed only 2 hits
Anker leads the Mountain West in strikeouts with 68, 12 more than the second-ranked pitcher.
