Welcome to the fam
Fresno State added Western Kentucky transfer Nayla Martin this off season. Martin spent one season at WKU, and competed in two indoor meets while setting a PR in the mile with a 4:57 time and taking second at the Bellarmine Classic. Martin was one of the top middle distance runners in Quebec, Canada, and a member of Team Quebec from 2021-23.
Tarczy named MW Field Athlete of the Week
Tarczy won the high jump at the Silver State Invite with a personal best indoor mark of 1.82m/5-11.5 at the indoor season opener last weekend. The San Diego native successfully hit the mark on her third attempt at the height. The mark ranked No. 1 in the nation after the opening weekend of the season. Her jump was the highest attempt by any athlete in the event with the second place mark being 1.72m/5-7.75.
The reigning Mountain West indoor and outdoor champion eyes the indoor program record as she inches closer to the top mark that hasn't been touched since 1988.
