At Fresno State: Walked on to the football team during spring ball in 2013.
High School: Was a third-team All-State and first-team All-Tri River Athletic Conference selection playing both fullback and linebacker at Clovis West High School as a senior in 2010 ... team captain of 2010 team that won the Valley Championship ... 2010 first-team All-Valley ... recorded 98 tackles, three sacks and two forced fumbles as a senior ... also had 91 carries for 545 yards (6.0 ypc) and six touchdowns to go with 10 receptions for 135 yards in 2010.
Personal: Born in Riverside, Calif. on May 23, 1993 ... son of Mindy Brown and the late Dan Brown, who was a long-time assistant coach for the Bulldogs and also played linebacker on a national championship team at Boise State ... has five siblings, including brothers Travis and Eric, who played and coached at Fresno State ... Travis (2009-12) was a three-time All-Conference linebacker for the [apos]Dogs ... Eric played (2007-09) and coached as a student (2010) and graduate assistant (2011) at Fresno State and is currently the defensive line coach at Idaho ... pre-business major.
