Prior to Fresno State: Redshirted at Colorado State as a true freshman in 2012.
High School: A two-way starter for two years at Las Lomas High School in Walnut Creek, Calif. ... did not play football prior to his junior season ... started every game on both sides of the ball, 23 total contests, at left tackle and defensive tackle, from 2010-11 ... earned all-conference recognition at both positions ... as a senior in 2011 he registered eight sacks and more than 70 tackles, earning first-team All-Diablo Foothill Athletic League, first-team All-East Bay (Bay Area News Group) and second-team All-Metro (San Francisco Chronicle) accolades ... a team captain and his team[apos]s defensive MVP, led 9-3 LLHS to the second round of the 2011 NCS Division II playoffs ... also earned first-team all-conference accolades as a senior offensive lineman ... as a junior in 2010, earned first-team all-conference as a defensive lineman, helping the Knights to a berth in the first round of the state playoffs ... head football coach was Doug Longero.
