2023 (Senior): Made 19 mound appearances for the Bulldogs with 10 starts... pitched 56.1 innings, third-most for the 'Dogs... struck out 47 batters, ranking third on the squad... allowed 64 hits, 23 walks, and 36 earned runs... earned second most wins on the team with 4-3 record... ended season with 5.75 ERA... pitched career high 7.0 innings with four strikeouts and only one walk (Apr. 30).
2022 (Junior): Garcia made 26 appearances to lead the team and check in second in the MW ... made seven starts to rank fourth on the team ... ranked second on the team with five wins, tied for ninth with four others in the MW ... posted a 3.12 ERA ... earned a save at San Diego State (March 25) ... notched wins over Nevada-1 (March 20), Air Force (April 2), Sacramento State (April 12), Cal Poly (May 3) & Nevada (May 21) ... threw 49.0 innings for the third highest on the team ... struck out 42 for the fourth-most on the club ... held opponents to a .251 average ... issued only 13 walks ... ended the season with a season-high five innings at Nevada (May 21) holding the Wolf Pack scoreless and to four hits ... struck out a season-best five in back-to-back appearances vs. New Mexico (April 9) and Sacramento State (April 12) ... did not allow an earned run in 17 of 26 contests ... earned Academic All-Mountain West honors.
Prior to Fresno State: Garcia spent three seasons at Allan Hancock College using both his arm and his bat to lead the squad to victory ... right-handed pitcher collected a total of 10 wins and 73 strikeouts en route to a 3.07 career ERA through 78.4 innings of work on the bump ... at the plate, Garcia has earned a .309 batting average through three seasons ... has totaled 47 hits, including eight doubles and three home runs, and has been walked 21 times ... saw action in 15 games in 2021 ... earned All-Conference and All-State honors.
High School: Garcia enjoyed a historic baseball career as an all-league and all-CIF player at Santa Maria High School ... helped lead the Saints to their first CIF title in 60 years as a junior ... threw a four-hit shutout in the championship game ... struck out 14 in a complete game win over Morro Bay ... In his final season with the Saints, Garcia hit .398 with ten doubles, three home runs, scored 27 runs, and drove in 27 more at the plate ... also hit .330 with 13 doubles as a junior for the CIF champion Saints.
