2017-18 (Senior): Completed in 28 dual matched … finished the season with an overall singles record of 12-11, playing primarily at the No. 1 position … finished conference play with a 4-2 record … part of Fresno State's most successful doubles team this season with partner Cagatay Soke, playing at the No. 2 position, posted a 14-8 record in dual play… was named to the 2018 All-Mountain West Singles team.
2016-17 (Junior): Competed in 25 dual matches … finished his first season with an overall record of 20-11 and a dual record of 16-9, playing primarily at the No. 1 position … recorded an overall 17-16 doubles record … he went a combined 4-0 during the 2017 Mountain West Championships … named to the All-Mountain West Singles team … Veys was named Mountain West Player of the Week April 5 … recorded a win over a ranked opponent in No. 100 Corey Pang (Cal Poly) 6-4, 0-6, 6-2 on March 19… received the team award for Most Improved Player for the 2016-17 season ... named to the spring 2017 Academic All-Mountain West Team.
Prior to Fresno State: A junior transfer from the University of North Carolina Wilmington … went 7-8 in singles playing primarily at the No. 2-4 spots … posted a team-best 9-6 doubles record … was named to the Second-Team All-CAA in singles.
As a junior, Veys ranked as high as No. 84 in the World ITF rankings ... ranked in the top-3 nationally throughout his junior career, including a time at No. 1 … two-time finalist in Grade 2 ITF events and winner of Grade 3 ITF event.
Personal: Born in Brussels, Belgium … son of Marc Veys and Sofia De Meuter … biggest athletic thrill was winning ITF Grade 3 in Delhi, India … chose Fresno State because the Bulldog family will give him the best opportunity of continue his academics and tennis career ... he is majoring in economics at Fresno State.
