2017 (Freshman): Bins earned Collegiate Newspaper Freshman All-American honors to become the 13th Bulldog to earn CBN AA honors in program history... also earned 2017 Co-Mountain West Freshman of the Year honors becoming the 11th Freshman of the Year honoree by a conference in program history... appeared in all 30 Mountain West conference games making 29 starts behind the plate at catcher... made 54 starts behind the plate on the season appearing in 58 of the 'Dogs 60 games... hit .291 from the dish with 52 hits, including 16 for extra-bases as he totaled nine doubles, a triple and smacked six home runs... added 28 RBIs, 38 runs scored, a .392 on-base percentage and a .453 slugging percentage on the season... tallied 11 multi-run contests scoring a season-high four runs on April 23 in a 27-5 win at Nevada where he went 2-for-4 and added an RBI and was hit by two pitches... added 12 multi-hit affairs going for a season-high three on three separate occasions over a four-game stretch in the middle of March... posted a stellar .988 fielding percentage only making five errors on the season... named Academic All-Mountain West... also earned Mountain West Scholar-Athlete honors.
