2020 (Junior): Arias made four starts on the mound in the 'Dogs COVID-19 shortened season ... tied for a team-leading four starts to rank 29th in the nation for games started ... earned two wins to tie for a team lead and tied for third-most in the Mountain West ... posted a 3.75 ERA ... led the team and tied for second in the MW with 24.0 innings pitched ... led the 'Dogs and tied for eighth in the MW with 22 strikeouts ... posted a 7.33 strikeout-to-walk ratio, second-best in the MW, only allowing three walks ... held opponents to a .239 average from the plate ... led the MW and ranked 54th in Division I in walks allowed per nine innings at 1.13 ... earned a win in the season opener vs. UC Irvine (Feb. 14) tossing 6.0 innings allowing three hits, one earned run and struck out three ... earned second win over Columbia (Feb. 28) throwing a season-high 7.0 innings and struck out a season-high 12 ... struck out at least three batters in all four outings.

2018 (Freshman): Tabbed a Freshman All-America by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper, the 14th Bulldog to ever receive that honor... had a standout rookie season on the mound for the 'Dogs posting a 5-1 mark, the second-most wins on the team and tied for eighth in the MW... posted a 3.69 ERA, fourth-best in the Mountain West... in 23 appearances, third-most on the team.... made eight starts, third-most on the team... tossed 62 strikeouts, tied for 9th in the MW in 68.1 innings of work which ranked tied for 13th in MW... allowed only the second-fewest walks in the MW issuing 12 free passes... his 5.17 strikeout-to-walk ratio ranked second in the MW and finished No. 44 in the nation... held opponents to a .223 average from the plate, fifth-best in the MW, and recorded his first career save at New Mexico on April 8 tossing two innings in a 11-6 win over the Lobos... recorded at least one strikeout in 18 of his 23 appearances on the season... reached a season-best five strikeouts in six contests... tossed a season-high six innings on April 29 at home against Air Force shutting down the Falcons for three hits and no runs while striking out four in a 10-0 win.

Personal: Son of Rosa and Jaime Arias... has an older sister, Ariel... choose Fresno State because he wants to bring the Bulldogs another College World Series Championship and wants to help build a winning team... most admires his father because he wants to raise his children someday the way he was raised... lists his biggest athletic thrill as winning 20 games in a row during his sophomore year of high school.. favorite athlete is Clayton Kershaw because he dominates from the left side and is an effective pitcher... also played football in high school... enjoys hanging out with his family and friends along with snowboarding and golfing in his free time.
