2019 (Redshirt Sophomore): Earned First-Team All-Mountain West honors... started all 57 games for the Bulldogs making every start at shortstop... ranked ninth in the MW with a .338 average from the plate... ranked fourth in the MW in on-base percentage (.448) and tied for ninth in the league in slugging percentage at .531 ... drew a team-leading 43 walks for the second-most in the MW... scored 56 runs for fifth in the MW while his 113 total bases tied for sixth... drove in 45 RBI, tied for sixth in the MW, with 10 multi-RBI games... ranked in a tie for eighth in the MW with 72 hits and in doubles (15)... smacked eight home runs, tied for ninth in the MW... ranked second on the team with eight stolen bases...went a perfect 4-for-4 with a walk and three runs scored on April 14 in a 9-5 win over Air Force... selected by the Washington Nationals in the 11th round (333rd overall) of the 2019 MLB Draft on June 5.
2018 (Redshirt Freshman): Arruda started all 54 games for the Bulldogs as a redshirt freshman, one of only two 'Dogs to start every game.... hit .305 from the plate in 210 at-bats, second-most on the team... tallied 63 hits, third-most on the club.... ranked fourth on the team with 22 extra-base hits... led the team with three triples while ranking second on the team with eight home run and was fourth with 11 doubles... led the team with 42 runs scored while was one of three 'Dogs to lead the team with 39 RBIs.... registered a .391 on-base percentage and a .500 slugging percentage... drew a team-high 30 walks... tied for third on the team with four stolen bases... had a season-high three hits in three games, scored a season-high four runs at San Francisco (April 4) and drove in a season-best four runs in three contests.
2017 (Freshman): Redshirted his first season at Fresno State.
High School: A 2016 graduate of Buchanan High School, Arruda helped lead the Bears to the 2015 & 2016 CIF Central Section Baseball Championships and a No. 1 national ranking in the USA Today Super 25... earned All-league honors in the Tri-River Conference... Cougars went a combined 59-5 in his final two seasons... as a senior, Arruda appeared in 29 games for the Bears hitting .344 from the plate with 32 hits in 93 at-bats with three doubles, two triples, one home run and added 13 RBIs and 26 runs scored... had a .451 on-base percentage and a .462 slugging percentage... was a dual-sport athlete also playing soccer where he helped the Bears to the 2014 & 2015 CIF Central Section Soccer Championships.
