PERSONAL: From Krum, Texas … daughter of Eric and Jayme Shanks … has three siblings … lists her favorite athlete as her fellow competitors because they are what drives her to become better, and she respects everybody’s hard work and effort … biggest athletic thrill has been winning her first world title … chose to attend Fresno State because when she was on her visit, she felt like the team was a family. She wanted to be a part of something big.
