2012 (Senior): Played in all 13 games and made nine starts at outside linebacker ... totaled 51 tackles on the year ... tallied 11.5 tackles for a loss of 41 yards and had four sacks for a loss of 22 yards on the year ... tied for sixth in the Mountain West in tackles for a loss ... recorded a season-best nine tackles against Oregon, which included four tackles for a loss of 16 yards and one fumble recovery ... grabbed an interception against Tulsa and returned it for 21 yards for a touchdown ... totaled three pass breakups on the year and six quarterback hurries ... nominated for the Burlsworth Trophy, which is given to the most outstanding football player in America who began his career as a walk-on.
2011 (Junior): Played in 12 games, making 10 starts at defensive end ... had 31 tackles on the year ... tied for second on the team with 8.5 tackles for a loss ... his four sacks ranked second on the team ... forced one fumble, broke up two passes and recorded three quarterback hurries ... blocked a PAT in the North Dakota game ... posted a career-high eight tackles against Utah State, when he also had 2.5 tackles for a loss, two sacks and a forced fumble ... had 5.5 tackles for a loss over a three-game stretch from Oct. 7-22 ... received the Don Duncan Over Achiever Award ... a former walk-on who earned a scholarship.
