HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Clovis West High School, where he was a pitcher, catcher and designated hitter… lettered as a starter in all four seasons and owned a .314 average with 39 hits. 39 RBIs, 13 doubles and six home runs at the plate as a senior… on the mound, he had a 9-1 record with a 1.08 ERA in 65 innings pitched… struck out 77 batters… named TRAC Player of the Year and was Fresno Bee Player of the Year… also played quarterback on the Eagles’ football team… single season and career passing leader at Clovis West.
