Natalie Smith was hired as Fresno State's Director of On-Campus Recruiting in July 2025, joining first year head coach Matt Entz in the role.

Smith joins the Bulldog family from Michigan, where she was a recruiting and operations graduate student intern for the Wolverine football program from 2023-25. In her recruiting efforts with Michigan, she was responsible for planning and executing official and unofficial visits for more than 100 recruits and their families. Operationally, she assisted with organizing family events for families of coaches and players to ensure a welcoming environment within the program. Smith worked directly with the Michigan football head coach, Director of Operations and Director of Player Personnel to ensure all pieces were running smoothly.

She also has experience working operations with Kalamazoo Growlers Baseball, a collegiate summer league in Michigan.

Smith graduated from Western Michigan with her bachelors degree in sport management (December 2022), and earned her masters in sport management from Michigan (May 2025)
