Dec. 11, 1999
Game Notes
--- Fresno State's victory gives it a victory in the first game ever played between the two teams.
--- Tiffany Lewis had 14 points and 16 rebounds in posting her fourth double-double in a row and fifth overall. She is the first Bulldog to ever have double-digits in points and rebounds in four consecutive games in program history.
--- Lindsay Logan notched a career-high 17 points and added eight assists.
--- The Bulldogs shot 54 percent from the floor in the game. That is the highest shooting percentage they have had in a game this season and only the second time FS has shot over 50 percent all year.
--- Porsha Boyd was 2-for-2 from the free throw line on the night. It was her first trip to the free throw line since Nov. 30, 1997, and only the second of her career.
--- LMU's Bryn Britton started the game on fire, scoring 18 points in the first 10 minutes. But she managed only five the remainder of the contest.
--- Britton and Rosa Bernasconi accounted for 41 of LMU's 65 points.
--- With five seconds remaining in the game and the shot clock running out, the Lions forced up a desperation three-point attempt to tie the contest. As the ball came off the rim, the shot clock expired. Players from both teams mistook the shot clock buzzer for the game buzzer and stopped playing. Referees ordered 3.1 seconds put back on the clock and Loyola Marymount to take the ball out of bounds. LMU missed its last second three-pointer to give FS the victory.
--- The win by the Bulldogs came despite Loyola Marymount taking 20 more shots, hitting three more three-pointers, committing 11 less turnovers and picking up eight more steals.
