Wrestling Team Loses to Boise State, 29-15

Boise, Idaho - Fresno State lost to Boise State tonight by a score of 29-15 ending their three-meet winning streak on the road. The Dogs dual meet record is now 3-4 overall while the Broncos improve to 5-6.
After forfeiting the 165 pound match, Fresno State saw its first of four victories when Matt Demers defeated Boise States Kyle Klonizos, 9-5. The Modesto native improved his overall record to 5-3 and his dual meet record to 3-1.
Senior Donny Rider (197) made his second appearance in a dual match tonight defeating the Broncos Cash Edwards, 11-8. Rider is now 10-5 overall and 2-0 in dual meets.
Sophomore Stephen Abas (125) picked up his 19th win of the season scoring his fourth technical fall of the season against Boise States K.C. Rock. The second-ranked wrestler out of Hayward, Calif., is now 19-1 overall and 6-1 in dual meets.
The Dogs final win came in the last match of the night when Fresno native Paris Ruiz (133) scored his eighth major decision over the Broncos Charlie Griggs with a shut out score of 13-0. Ruiz, a junior, improves to 20-7 overall and 5-2 in dual meets.
The Bulldogs return to action tomorrow when they take on 24th-ranked BYU at noon MTN followed by Western State at 2 p.m. MTN.
