Parco named to AWN 2021 All-Rookie Team

FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State redshirt freshman Kyle Parco was named to the Amateur Wrestling News All-Rookie Team, announced by the publication.
The Concord, Calif. native became the 23rd All-American in program history in March at the NCAA Championships and secured all-rookie honors at 149 pounds after he earned a sixth-place finish in St. Louis as well as a third-place finish at the Big 12 Championship in his second season as a Bulldog.
After going 17-2 while competing unattached as a true freshman in 2019-20, Parco went 19-4 as a redshirt freshman with 16 wins by decision, one major decision and two technical falls this season.
Parco went 9-0 at 141 pounds and 10-4 at 149 pounds with a dual win over Little Rock's Kyle Prewitt, went 4-1 at the Big 12 Championship & 5-3 at the NCAA Championships.
Parco was joined by fellow Californians Jaden Abas of Stanford, an All-American who placed seventh at the NCAA Championships, and Legend Lamer of Cal Poly on the AWN All-Rookie Team at 149 pounds.
