--- SMU's win increases its lead in the all-time series with Fresno State to 4-0. It was the second overtime game the two teams have played in series history. The other came in the 1997-98 season, a 70-66 Mustangs victory at the North Gym.
--- Channan High returned to the starting lineup for the first time since Nov. 27 and contributed as much as she had all season. The freshman, who missed five games in December with a stress fracture in her foot, scored seven points and added four rebounds in 32 minutes. But more importantly, it was her defensive effort that kept the Bulldogs in the game. She helped thwart SMU's solid inside game and the penetrating ability of its guards by looming as a shot-blocking threat in the lane.
--- For the first time this season, the Bulldogs had two players foul out of a game. Channan High picked up her fifth foul with 5:01 left in the game while Tiffany Lewis departed 11 seconds into overtime.
--- Fresno State outshot SMU 50 percent to 39 percent. But the Mustangs had the advantage from the charity stripe. They were 17 of 21 at the line compared to Fresno State's 10 of 11. The Bulldogs were whistled for 12 second half fouls while SMU was called for only five.
--- Lindsay Logan had yet another impressive game. She scored 21 points and dished out seven assists and help get the Bulldogs back in the game. Down eight points with 15 minutes left, Logan nailed three consecutive three-pointers to cut the lead to one. FS was neck-and-neck with SMU the rest of the game.
--- Logan's seven assists moved her into fifth place on the Fresno State single-season assists list. She needs only 15 more to set a single-season record for assists. Logan's 6.74 average leads the WAC by almost two assists per game. She is vying to become the first freshman in conference history to win the assist crown.
--- Tiffany Simon continued to impress in the three spot. She tied her career high with eight rebounds and played stifling defense all night. It was her efforts that helped contain SMU's D-dra Rucker, who came in as the team's leading scorer. Rucker shot only 4 of 15 on the night.
--- Lindsay Logan started again last night. She is still the only Fresno State player to have started in every game. The freshman played 40 of the game's 45 minutes and leads the Bulldogs and the WAC in minutes played with a 37.2 per game average.
--- Fresno State has traded off losing and winning in its last five games.
--- The loss prevented the Bulldogs from picking up their first ever win in the state of Texas. FS is now 0-14 all-time in the Lone Star State. The loss was also the Bulldogs' seventh loss in their last eight overtime games, dating back to the 1993-94 season.
--- Fresno State held SMU to 39 percent shooting from the floor, the fifth consecutive game the Bulldogs have held an opponent to a sub-.500 shooting night.
--- Lindsay Logan's 5 of 11 shooting from three-point territory tied a team season-high for three-point field goals made and attempted.
