Wrestling Signs Madera High Standout

Madera High School senior Shane Seibert signed a national letter of intent to wrestle for the Fresno State Bulldogs beginning next season.

Seibert excelled as a Coyote, placing second at the state meet last year in the 145 division. As a sophomore he took sixth place at the state meet. Seibert will likely wrestle in the 157 division for Fresno State.

"He [Seibert] is a great kid and a great wrestler," Fresno State's wrestling coach Dennis DeLiddo said. "We're happy to have signed him to our program."

Seibert will sit out his senior year of high school wrestling because of a knee injury he sustained while practicing about three months ago.
