Stephen Abas - National Champion - 125 lbs.
Junior - Hayward, Calif. - Liberal Studies The 125-pound national champion in 1999 and '01.
Is the Bulldogs' only two-time national champion.
Has won 71 consecutive matches in the 125-pound weight class.
Became the first Fresno State wrestler ever to complete an entire season with an undefeated record.
Was the only current Fresno State student-athlete honored as one of the top 25 greatest Bulldog athletes of the 20th century.
Has a career winning percentage of .965 (109-4), best in Fresno State history.
Is only the second Bulldog ever to gain All-America honors three years in a row.
Was the 1998 junior world champion.
Is fourth in career wins. Should he post another 34-win season, he will break brother Gerry Abas' all-time mark of 134.
