FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State women's basketball coach Britt King has announced the hiring of Curtis Cunningham as new assistant coach. His duties will include handling the operation aspects of the team, including team travel, game scheduling, film exchange, community service and on-campus recruiting.
Cunningham is no stranger to the women's basketball program, having served as team manager the past three years. He videotaped games, was responsible for assisting with tape exchange, scheduled community events and oversaw the team's Kids Club.
"Curtis has assisted in many of the areas he is now responsible for overseeing," King said. "He has a proven record of success in being able to fulfill his responsibilities. He is also diligent, loyal and knows the game of basketball very well. He is a very positive addition to our coaching staff."
A native of Capital Heights, Md., Cunningham graduated from Fresno State in May 2001 with a B.A. in kinesiology.
