Men's Tennis Gets Washed Out of Santa Clara Invitational

FRESNO, Calif. - The Santa Clara Invitational in which the Fresno State men's tennis team was to have competed this weekend has been cancelled due to rainy weather in the Bay Area. The tournament will not be made up.
Six Bulldogs - Vinny Owens, Dustin Ilic, Greg Shearer, Danny O'Rourke, Alex Krohn and Andy Sinn - were all slated to compete in the event, which also included players from Santa Clara and San Francisco.
Three other Fresno State players, Hector Almada, Stefan Suta and Marc Schaerer, are in Los Angeles this weekend to play in the Southern California Intercollegiate Tournament. That competition is still proceeding as scheduled.
