Wrestlers Earn National Rankings

FRESNO, Calif. - Senior Eddie Gifford, sophomore Marcio Botelho and freshman Greg Gifford all made appearances in the latest edition of the Amateur Wrestling News' national rankings.
Eddie Gifford is ranked 12th at 174 by AWN. He also comes in at No. 11 in the InterMat poll and is 14th in the Wrestling Mall rankings. Gifford has won eight of his nine dual matches.
Marcio Botelho is ranked 12th at 197 by Amateur Wrestling News. Botelho has a 7-1 dual record with his only dual loss to Wyoming's Kevin Kessner.
Greg Gifford, a freshman and younger brother of Eddie Gifford, was ranked 20th at 184 by Amateur Wrestling News. Greg Gifford has a dual record of 3-1 and made a splash in his first dual match when he beat No. 16 Nebraska's B.J. Padden.
The Bulldogs have a full weekend ahead of them starting Friday at 11 a.m. when they travel to take on San Francisco State. They then will travel to UC Davis for a 6 p.m. match up later that day. On Saturday, the 37th annual All-California Tournament starts at 9 a.m. in San Francisco, with Fresno State looking to repeat as champions.
